What is creative agency Kiri & Pilt and what type of design-related challenges do you predominantly work on?
The creative agency Kiri & Pilt consists of three members, the two designers, Birgit and Jaana, and the author of the texts, Brigitta. The most frequent challenges for us are working on identities and campaigns.
What characterises the work(s) of Kiri & Pilt as a design agency, what is your strength?
We consider branding and the development of visual identities to be our greatest strength. Our works are characterised by well thought out concepts, multilayered thinking skills, and the ability to see beyond the visual. Since we are a rather small agency, we are able to find personalised tailor-made solutions for each of our clients. Although there is only three of us, we are flexible and able to take on larger projects quickly, thanks to us having developed an effective cooperation network. Another one of our strengths is having a very good and experienced writer with a wide range on our team.
What are the most successful projects of Kiri & Pilt thus far and why? Which of these is your favourite?
It is very difficult to pick one favourite out of all of our projects, what is most important is that we find the most suitable solution together with our client. But since compassion has an important role in our work, we are especially glad about socially oriented projects.

What inspires you? From where do you draw inspiration from on a daily basis?
We are inspired by the connections between the different aspects of everyday life.
What is your main customer profile? What type of projects do you cherish most?
We wouldn’t want to define a specific customer profile, however, as mentioned before, we find socially oriented projects to be the closest to our hearts. We also consider it extremely important for the cooperation with our clients to be smooth.
What do you find most important about design? Is it the concept, ideas, form, problem solving, or something else?
The most intriguing aspect is problem solving and, consequently, developing a concept, however, in reality, all of these aspects are connected to each other.

What type of clients are you hoping to work with more in the future and what type of projects and in which fields would you prefer to take on?
The name of the client is not what’s important to us, it is rather the content of the project and the problem that needs solving that matters most to us.
What is the ambition of Kiri & Pilt? Where do you see yourselves in five years?
We hope that we will be doing everything we are doing right now, but maybe on a larger scale and with a bigger team.
And lastly... what are some must-have playlists/movies/series that you believe should also reach others?
Oh, there are so many! Dead Kennedys, Future Island, Killing Joke, Fontaines D.C, Divine Comedy, Siouxsie, and the Banshees, 80s-90s Madonna, Kate Bush, lots of coffee etc.
